What we ask a mill
Before we order, we visit, and we ask the same questions every time (sample).
- Where the fibre comes from, and who spun it
- How the cloth is dyed and finished, and what is in the water afterwards
- How many metres they can weave again if a colour sells out
- Whether the offcuts can go back for recycling
Saw it in a look? Ask about the piece.
Tell us the look number or the piece, the colour and your usual size. We reply within two working days, and can hold a piece in the studio for a week.
